Salt
To clean up messes in your oven on top of the stove, you can add salt when the accident occurs to soak up the spill and then you can wipe it gently away.

Grates
You can clean the grates on your stove easily by soaking them in two cups of vinegar and a quart of hot water for about an hour. The baked on food will wipe right off for a great clean!

Aluminum foil
Your stove or oven is often a difficult appliance to clean. To keep your stove and the inside of your oven looking cleaner and to lighten your cleaning load you can place aluminum foil on the bottom of the oven to catch drips. If you lift the lid on your stove you can also place aluminum foil inside, strategically around the burners to keep something that over boiled from caking on the inside of your stove.

Cut grease and baked on food
To cut grease and baked on food in your oven use a mixture of baking soda, water, salt and oil based vegetable soap and spread over the entire oven. Let this mixture sit over night or at least for six hours and then you can wipe it down with a warm rag to a great clean with out the chemicals or smell!

Vinegar
After every use you can clean your oven using full strength vinegar (after the oven has cooled) to keep grease and food build up to a minimum.

Filters
How long has it been since you cleaned the filters above your stove in the range hood? This is where grease and odors build up if you don’t clean this vent filter at least twice a year. You have a few options: using very hot soapy water will melt off the grease or you can soak the filter in ammonia water for a few minutes and rinse in hot water. You can also place the filter on the top rack in the dishwasher for a deep clean.

Range hoods
You can use a cotton bud or a cotton rag wet with vinegar to wipe down the inside of the range hood for a fresh clean.
